Date of Event Oakleigh Cricket Club : Fri Apr 9, 2021 6:23PM

In an exciting development for cricket within the City of Monash, the Oakleigh Cricket Club will relaunch its female cricket program in season 2021/22.

Oakleigh Cricket Club is excited to get behind the females in our community and further expand our cricket program. It’s a great opportunity for the girls in the community to learn cricket, make friends, improve skills, get active, and most of all have fun!

It's been a 26-year hiatus for female cricket at Oakleigh Cricket Club, with our first OCC team established back in 1978/79 under the expert tutelage of the great Val Holten. The program participated across a variety of competition levels until the single remaining ladies team seceded in 1995.

In season 2021/22, the club aims to field teams in the Cricket Southern Bayside Women's (CSBW) competition & All Girls Cricket Competition (AGCC).

Senior Women’s T20

The CSBW Women's T20 competition caters for all ages and abilities, providing a stepping stone for first timers to pick up a bat and learn the game of cricket. It is a very social competition giving women a chance to learn as they play cricket as well as keeping fit.

Matches are played on Sunday’s at 12:00pm and usually last for 2 hours.

Under 16 & Under 13 All Girls Teams

Oakleigh CC plan to field both an Under 16 & Under 13 team in the All Girls Cricket Competition (AGCC) in season 2021/22.

Under 16 matches are held on Sunday mornings at 9:00am.

Under 13 matches are held on Wednesday evening at 5:30pm.

Oakleigh CC welcomes enquiries from women & girls of all abilities who are interested in playing cricket for the 'purple & gold'.
