Senior Women's Cricket

Attention girls, ladies, wives, girlfriends, sisters, mothers, & daughters! Oakleigh Cricket Club is looking for budding female cricketers to join our Women's XI in the Cricket Southern Bayside (CSB) Women's T20 Competition in season 2021/22.

The CSBW Women's T20 competition caters for all ages and abilities, providing a stepping stone for first timers to pick up a bat and learn the game of cricket. It is a very social competition, giving women a chance to learn as they play cricket as well as keeping fit.

Training will be held on Wednesday evening at Warrawee Park from 5:30pm-6:30pm.

Matches will be played on Sunday afternoon at 12:00pm, and usually last for 2 hours.

The competition will be made up of 12 modified T20 rounds from October to early December before breaking over Christmas & returning in January and February.

WHAT DO I WEAR?
At club training you can wear whatever feels comfortable, but at matches you will need to wear an official club shirt and cap as a minimum.

DO I NEED TO BRING ANY EQUIPMENT?
If you have your own cricket gear - great - you can use that. If you don't that is not an issue we have club kits for you to use - including bats, balls, stumps, pads, gloves, helmets. The only thing you must provide your own of is a personal protector (if you wish to wear one and we have some of those available to give you) and we suggest purchasing a pair of batting inners.

HOW MUCH DOES THIS ALL COST?
Subscriptions for the season are $150. This includes a playing cap & top for all registered players.

WILL I BE PLAYING AGAINST EXPERIENCED CRICKETERS?
The CSB Women's competition has specific rules to make sure that this remains a social game that is accessible to all. The games will have a little competition but we want you to meet new people and enjoy your time learning new skills.

WHO IS ALLOWED TO PLAY?
Any female over the age of 14 is eligible to play. Everyone is welcome, and we wholeheartedly encourage you to bring along your friends, mother, sister, wife, aunty, grandmother, colleagues... the more the merrier!
